Sometimes, it is hard to know what's best for our bodies. There are so many different opinions on what we should and shouldn't do, but there is one belief that we chiropractors stick with: that our bodies are built in a way that we should let them do the work.
There is a wonderful quote from Leo Tolstoy, that pretty much says it all. "Our body is a machine for living. It is organized for that, it is its nature. Let life go on inside it unhindered and let it defend itself."
All chiropractic treatments aim to work with this principal. We aim to ensure our clients understand this and the ways in which can do it. The poster on the right explains how we reset your body so that nature can do it's work.
Summer time
... and the weather is high. Well, at least for a few days now and then.
Whenever it is, we suggest you take advantage to exercise and ensure your body is doing what it should. Walk on the beach – walk TO the beach – play sandcastles with the kids and paddle. Get outdoors, prune the roses or go to a fair, listen to bands and dance.
Whatever you fancy, now is the time to be outside and communing with nature.

Nature's bounty
Along with the brighter days and warmer weather, we are also getting better fruits and vegetables. This is a good time to try changing your diet just a little to encourage it to look after itself. Breakfast can be a difficult meal to plan as busy people tend to rely on easy options. We have some great breakfast ideas over at Living Naturally that are worth trying, especially this month when you might have a bit more time first thing.
Green eggs!
Ingredients
1 avocado halved, stone removed and a small extra bit hollowed out
1 egg
1 tomato, a spring onion and some herbs
Instructions
Place avocado halves on a baking sheet and then crack an egg into the centre of each one. Pop into a moderate oven until the egg has set. Test with a skewer for your favoured type, runny or hard. While it's cooking, chop the left over avocado with some tomato, spring onion, herbs or even some chili, add salt and pepper and serve with the green egg.
