August 2025 | What’s going on…                                                       Home

We have lots of practice news this month, snippets of excitement and some top achievements, but before we fill you in, we wanted to talk a little about taking time out for yourself and those around you.

… taking time out

Summer could be described as the season of disruption, as we rush to go somewhere, do something new and exciting, leaving our day-to-day behind. We use this break from the norm to rest or recuperate, perhaps indulge in a hobby, sport or other diversion. These short periods are vital for our mental health. Taking time to focus on a passion (being underwater for Estelle, spending time with family and having adventures

for Jo) allows us to come back to work with renewed vigour and focus. Taking time to indulge in our passions and balance our work-life beings is actually good for our brains and nervous systems. It feeds joy, happiness and hope in our lives to balance the rational and practical side of our brains.

Nell is back! After smashing her final results with a first, she is here to spend a little time before heading off to travel. Having known and mentored Nell since she was a young lass we are very proud – and particularly impressed with those hands… she’s been adjusting us all in our spare moments.

Tina also came out of university with a first, and we shall miss her and her family as she has moved south. Not to be forgotten, Paul and Becky’s grades were also top. We are rather impressed with our entire team, both past and present.

Last month, Estelle, Jo and Becca hosted a neurology seminar in the practice, held by Texan, Dr Michael Hall of BrainDC. It’s important for us to keep up-to-date with the latest advances on how our brains and bodies are linked and how chiropractic can impact your health. We are always looking to do better for you! Dr Hall will be back in September to teach us part 2 (along with some other clever Chiropractors from around the country).
