Absorb

the energy around us

Bare toes in the sand, evening sun on your face, the sound of leaves rustling, the scent of flowers in the breeze. Does anything make you feel better than being outdoors, spending time to allow your senses to connect with the energy inherent in the natural world. In some places this is called a holiday (!) but more recently, has been named earthing. It refers to the process of making physical connections with nature, allowing your mind and body to find energy and peace in the earth’s natural power.

Some might say earthing is the new ‘in thing’ but there are many clear health benefits like reducing inflammation and stress, improving sleep and boosting immunity. Try it and see how you feel…

Take your shoes off for a walk in the woods, feel the dirt between your toes; dangle your hands in a river, paddle in rock pools. Step out at dawn or dusk, when infra-red sunlight helps reset your nervous system. All these moments allow our bodies and minds to readjust to a more primeval lifestyle – well ahead of our current addiction to all things tech.

Likewise, heading off for your summer holiday is a great opportunity to try all these things. Explore the local environment in every way, break your routines in favour of adapting to what you see around you.

Congratulations are due to our amazing team of support chiropractic assistants!

<< Becca has now completed her first year of training and Paul has completed year two. Well done both.

>> Both Christiana and Nell are now fully qualified chiropractors. Welcome to the profession! Sadly for us though, we are losing them both. Christina is off to Dorset where her marine husband is based, Nell is taking some time to travel before deciding where she wants to begin her chiropractic life.
