November 2020 - news                        Home

It’s that time of year when we are pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for our 15th annual Toys and Food for Adjustment Day. Clients with appointments that day will have their usual fee waived in exchange for a new toy or non-perishable food item, which will be distributed to those in need by The Salvation Army and The Bay Foodbank.

Some of our newer clients – and perhaps some of our longer standing ones – have asked why we do this every year. It’s because we have a great belief in giving back to our community, to those who are struggling with their health or financially, or might just have had an even more difficult year than most of us. We chose The Salvation Army as they offer practical help to anyone, with no judgement or discrimination. Likewise, our local Bay Foodbank continues to ensure that no-one in our area goes without the basics by supplying emergency food parcels and meals. We can’t help but respect the work these two charities do with compassion continuously and tirelessly.

If you would like to book an appointment for Toy Day, please call or use this form as soon as possible. We do get full that day! Alternatively, you can add your support by donating toys or food items; these can be dropped in to the clinic during office hours.

At the practice –––>

Last month, we ran a competition to see what others did or thought about to keep positive. While Estelle spends as much time as possible borrowing puppy Nala Banana, our competition winner is the lovely Leanne Tor who earned herself the special treat of a free massage. She summed up how so many of you – and us – feel with this thought: When I’ve dropped one kid at school, the other is at nursery, my husband is at work and I return to my house to complete and utter....silence. Pure bliss.

We wish we could have treated everyone, but Catherine is available from Wednesday to Friday to bring some calm to your days. Call or book a massage appointment here

And finally –––>
As mentioned on our home page, we will remain open during the next lockdown. Please don’t hesitate to make an appointment for Toy Day or any day at all over the next month or so. We look forward to seeing you.
